Practicing Raga Kalyan Sargam Up and Down (Palte)

Exercise 2 (Raga Kalyan up and down) Four Notes Palte

In this exercise we will practice four notes up and down (palte). Now there is no need to write this exercise in stages. Memorize these notes orally before beginning practice. Practice arohi and amrohi half an hour each. In the end, practice arohi and amrohi notes together for two to three days. Do not forget to synchronize your voice with the notes.

First Stage:

Play both sides in above diagram.

Second Stage:  Arohi (Mandr to Taar)

Third Stage:  Amrohi (Taar to Mandr)        

Fourth Stage:  (Arohi Amrohi)

Raga Kalyan tiver notes play ascending and descending.

Exercise 3  (Raga Kalyan up and down) Five Notes Practice

First Stage:

Second Stage: (mandr to taar saptak)

Fourth Stage:

Exercise 4  (Raga Kalyan up and down)

Practice arohi and amrohi for about two days by synchronizing your voice with the sound of harmonium.

First Stage:

Second Stage:

Practice same exercise from mandr to taar saptak and back for about two days.
